Almost a Century Old
The Artist Colony was founded in the late 1950s, when a group of artists and craftspeople moved to Nashville and set up studios and galleries in the town. Today, the Artist Colony is home to over 100 art galleries, studios, and shops, as well as a number of restaurants and other businesses. Many of the artists and craftspeople in the Artist Colony create and sell handmade items, such as jewelry, pottery, furniture, and other decorative and functional items.
